The files below can be downloaded by clicking on the link.


kml files can be opened by Google Earth (and some other GIS software applications).

gpx files are for use with GPS devices. You need to have software that will connect to and upload the files to your GPS. Refer to your GPS manual if you have not done this before.

The maps can be seen in 3D if you install the Google Earth Plug-In for your browser (Firefox (all OS) and IE6/7 for Windows). The picture to the right is how one of the maps can look

You can find out more here, or simply click on the pull down menu in the map window and change to Google Earth 3D mode. If you don't have the plug-in installed, the map window changes and you can click on the button in the window to install. This plug-in allows you to view in 3D and fly through the ride. Great for getting a feeling for how steep the hills are - remember though that they are always steeper in reality!
